You have not received your Income Tax refund yet?
The following needs to be checked on before you find out the reasons for refund not being credited to your bank account:
If the above two checks have, been done and still if refund is not credited to your bank account, then here are the reasons as stated below:
REASON | DETAILS OF THE REASON |
| Bank Account is not validated | If your PAN is not linked with bank account and pre-validation is not done there could be delay in processing the refund. | Return is submitted but not verified | If you have submitted the return , but in case you have forgotten to verify your return then in such case refund would not be processed. In case you need help of an expert, kindly contact us at connectus@chhotacfo.com |
| Return is filed incorrectly | In case you have filed the returns incorrectly then in such cases, the refund would not be processed. In case you need help of an expert, kindly contact us at connectus@chhotacfo.com |
| Return is pending with assessing officer | In such a case you would not have to do anything, your refund would be credited in a couple of days. |
| Incorrect Account Number or mismatch in the name | In case you have furnished wrong account number while filing the income tax return, your refund would be on hold. In such a case you’ll need to place a refund reissue request. |
| You have an outstanding demand | In case you have an outstanding demand, your refund would not be credited. You would receive an intimation stating reasons for the demand raised, you will have to either agree with demand and pay takes or disagree state the reasons for the same. | Refund is sent to the banker | In such case, the refund would be credited in couple of days to your account. |
